Research Prize and Scholarship Awards
ANNOUNCEMENT
ENTRY FORMS NOW AVAILABLE FOR THE
BFSLA Scholarship and Research Prize Awards
The Association offers as an integral part of its activities the legal scholarship prize and the legal research prizes.
Up to A$50,000 may be awarded to a successful applicant for the scholarship award, and a prize pool of up to A$15,000 is available to successful applicants for the legal research prizes.
The Prize information is usually launched in early February and entries close on the first Friday in June, with the winners being announced at the annual conference. (usually the last week-end in July)

2009 Winners Announced!
2009 Scholarship: Ms Felicity Lehane (Freehills, Sydney)
Felicity was awarded the full scholarship and is currently studying for her LLM at Columbia Law School and we look forward to receiving a progress report on her time over there.
2009 Research Prizes awarded to:
Jennifer Devlin, Justice Dept. Wellington, New Zealand
She submitted the following paper: "The UNCITRAL model Law on Cross-Border Insolvency and Its Impact on Maritime Creditors"
and
Ben Saunders, Macpherson + Kelley Lawyers, Melbourne
He submitted the following paper: "Has FSR fixed the problems with the regulation of securities and derivatives?"
